I am looking for a good book to read aloud to the boys, ages 10 & 13. Any suggestions? I usually get bored with science fiction or books in which I already know the ending.
I haven't read them myself yet, but we've heard that the "100 Cupboards" series by N.D. Wilson is excellent, and I am hoping to buy copies soon for our family library. :) I know Amazon sells them, and I've heard that libraries are ordering them like crazy (our local libraries are anyway - the waiting list is too long for me though). :)
One of my favorite series, Cooper Kids Adventure by Frank Peretti (8 books) is a fun Indiana Jones style series.
ReplyDeleteAnother good one (in the Fantasy genre) is the Dragon King Trilogy by Stephen Lawhead. Boy King, dragons, evil soccerer, etc.
I have both series if you want to borrow them. :)
Soup - by Robert Newton Peck
ReplyDeleteI love this book. I think my sis, Leah, owns it.

ReplyDeleteThanks, Melissa. Good idea. I enjoy his style of writing in Tilt-a-Whirl, so I bet these would be a good pick for us!
